New Director - Naroop

Gas&Electric are pleased to announce the signing of Naroop to our roster of Music Video Directors.

From his roots as a successful photographer shooting celebrities, top ten artists and advertising campaigns, his move into film is a natural progression, Naroop joins us with an impressive body of work with strong performance-led videos from some big names in the music scene.

Racing Post - Stop Headless Betting

When Sell Sell approached G&E to make something unique and fun with the underlying message to ‘Bet with your Head’, director Tom King really wanted to push the envelope. By using some slick post-production in conjunction with Framestore and the wit of Peter Serafinowicz, he has created a series of films that stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Peugeot - The Horn

When Stack approached Gas&Electric to make a film for Peugeot to coincide with April Fools, director Ben Jones was the ideal choice. His ability to achieve a premium look whilst maintaining the tongue-in-cheek humour needed was a perfect mixture for the film.

The idea that you can personalise your car horn doesn’t seem too far fetched and the film light-heartedly pokes fun at the traditional car advert in this clever send up.

Belinda Carlisle - The Collection

In conjunction with Demon Records, this recent commercial for ‘Belinda Carlisle - The Collection’  will certainly get you in the mood for Summer. The sun drips off the screen as our music TVC crew cruised around LA with the top down, soaking in the surroundings and reflecting the fun, bright and laid-back west coast vibe of Belinda’s music with billboards to frame her music videos and remind us of the classic songs that everyone loves.

Imelda May - It’s Good To Be Alive

Prano has pulled out all the stops in terms of vision and creativity for Imelda May’s ‘It’s Good To Be Alive.’ The theme ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ makes for a thoroughly entertaining video. “For the overall look and feel I drew inspiration from the films of Douglas Sirk, one of my favourite directors from the 1950’s and a big influence on my approach to filmmaking.” – Prano Bailey-Bond

Nivea - Life Hacks

Director Ben Jones has recently been shooting for skin care giants Nivea Men’s newest online campaign, ‘Life Hacks.’ An entertaining way in which to promote the Nivea Originals range of products, the video showcases a range of ingenious solutions to everyday problems. Captured in a charming and relatable way the ‘Life Hacks’ include a great cheat for those wrinkled shirts that doesn’t include an iron!

Echo - Chainsaw & Brush Cutter

Noah London approached G&E to produce this hard hitting set of ads for chainsaw giant Echo. Created for the Russian market these 10 seconds spots were shot in rural Kent to recreate a slice of rugged Russia. Combined with strong men, stark graphics, the pure noise of machinery and topped by Russian voice over Victor Sobchak these striking ads don’t beat about the bush.

Beats by Dre - Happy UK Viral

Waterworks have just wrapped an exciting viral campaign for Beats by Dre to co-inside with the Brit Awards. A viral ad featuring the animated Beats Pills, dancing along to Pharrell Williams infectious track, ‘Happy.’ With the streets of London as a backdrop and the likes of Rizzle Kicks, Zara Martin and fellow street dancers making an appearance, it makes for a real feel good video.

Tom Odell - I Know

Magnus Hardner shoots a stunning performance video for Tom Odell surrounded by the harsh landscapes of Mörkö (the ‘dark island’) south of stockholm. DOP Simon Rudholm beautifully captures a compelling performance from Tom using rare old Polish film lenses . Some neat visual effects compliment the dark soul of the location perfectly, bringing the video to surreal and spooky ending.
