Grolsch – Love Every Detail

Gas & Electric have recently completed this project for Grolsch.

Entitled ‘Love every detail’ the brief was to create an engaging online film that captures in detail the perfect pour, the bottle opening and slick presentation of the recently rebranded Grolsh premium lagers. Through the barman’s minute attention to detail we reflect the care and attention Grolsh pays to its products. The film, part of an extensive re promotion, is due to run out online this autumn. Taking the ‘love every detail’ quite literally we shot using the brand new Red Epic, to shoot at 300fps and capture the detailed action.

Additional post production to accentuate the shots was carried out by Gas&Electric in house graphic team and finished with a warm grade through Framestore.

Upper Crust

Our latest campaign has seen us produce some exciting creative across a plethora of platforms from radio to digital. Our good friends at SellSell commissioned us to produce this fun rebrand of the commuters favourite eatery, Upper Crust.

Proudly rolling out our first stills shoot. The campaign is aimed at positioning Upper Crust as a place that provides morning commuters with their coffee fix.

With neat shots from Photographer Jonathan Cole and some smart casting work from director Tom King, we executed the perfect call to action in this series of press ads to round off the campaign.

An eye catching display of digital 6 sheet posters with subtle but striking animation. Now known on affectionately as the ‘drop’,’zeppelin’ and the ‘smack’ the aim is to attract the sleepy commuter by way of impactful execution to position Upper Crust as the place to fill you up. To complete the set we produced a run of sequential digital escalator panels that sees a flying baguette reveal some well targeted Upper Crust recipes with tasty headlines to the audience.

These lovely neat spots for radio will be riding the airwaves very shortly. Beautifully bought to life by the voice of Peter Serafinowicz, they lull the audience into a dreamlike soundscape before landing a hefty wake up call for coffee.

Cineworld / Screening Rooms

Our new campaign to help promote Cineworld and Screening Rooms has kept the animation department busy of late.

With styling reference to the ‘Catch Me If You Can’ titles, the screening room spot captures the laidback and enjoyable journey from bar to screen to invite the audience into the new cinemas and enjoy films in a much more rested and relaxed manner.

Cineworld promotes the offer of cheaper cinema tickets by joining the Cineworld club. No more booking fees! High time.

Mercy Book Trailer

With a brief from Penguin books to communicate the haunting atmosphere and emotions of being held captive, director Tom King shot this chilling trailer to promote the new Danish thriller ‘Mercy’ for the hugely successful author Jussi Adler- Olsen which is currently running online and through transvision screens on mainline station platforms.

Detailing the terrifying story of a woman trapped in a pressure chamber with only her imagination for company, the film cleverly uses the striking contrast of freedom of the open landscape with the claustrophobia of captivity to provide the audience with a visual tease of the book.

Actress Brooke Burfitt portrayed the prisoner perfectly, capturing the rollercoaster of emotions that Jussi includes throughout the book while never begging for Mercy.

Racing Post

Question. What do Bavarian dancing, snake charming and cow milking have in common? Answer. Well none of them get in the way of having a quick bet using the new Racing Post mobile app, that’s what.

Out in time for a good run on the Gold Cup these lovingly crafted and hilarious new spots, written by agency Sell Sell and deftly directed by Tom King at G&E, do a brilliant job at highlighting just how simple this app really is.

Andy from Sell Sell says. “We’re dead chuffed with the way all three ads have turned out.  We wanted to make these commercials really enjoyable and rewarding for our audience.  It wasn’t an easy brief to recreate certain scenes to make them look like original footage but Tom and the G&E gang really nailed this and went the extra mile to put in all the little touches that make these ads so entertaining”.
